53rd Vyasa Puja - Srirangam


We are happy to announce that the Vyasa Puja celebration of our beloved Guru Maharaja, H H Bhakti Vikasa Swami for the year 2010 would be celebrated in Srirangam - Tamilnadu, India.

Srirangam is a well-known place of pilgrimage, the most important center for Sri Vaisnava culture. Also Mahaprabhu stayed over there for 4 months.
Srirangam is a part of Trichy (also called Tiruchirappalli) city which is well connected through trains and buses. Trichy has an international airport too.

The Vyasa Puja schedule is as follows:

December 31st 2009, Thursday - Receiving the devotees

January 1, 2010 (Friday):

5:00 am - Mangala Arati, followed by Japa
7:30 am - Deity darshan, followed by Srila Prabhupada Guru puja
8:00 am - Lecture by Guru Maharaja
10:00 am to 4:00 pm - Ranganatha Darshan, Bathing in Kaveri, Shopping etc
4:30 pm - Lecture by Guru Maharaja
5:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Maha Nagar Sankirtan at Trichy


January 2 (Saturday):

5:00 am - Mangala Arati, followed by Japa
7:30 am - Deity darshan, followed by Srila Prabhupada Guru puja
8:00 am - Vyasa Puja Lecture by Guru Maharaja
10:00 am - Vyasa Puja
1:00 pm - Prasadam Feast
4:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Glorification by disciples and others


January 3 (Sunday):

5:00 am - Mangala Arati, followed by Japa
7:30 am - Deity darshan, followed by Srila Prabhupada Guru puja
8:00 am - Lecture by Guru Maharaja
10:00 am - Initiation ceremony
4:30 pm - Short lecture by Guru Maharaja at the house of Venkata Bhatta, followed by Nagar Kirtan inside the Ranganathar Temple complex
7:30 pm - Lecture by Guru Maharaja inside Ranganathar Temple

(Devotees can depart from Srirangam on Sunday night, or the next day according to their convenience)
