Dear Guru Maharaj,
Please accept my most humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to you.
For devotees Vyäsa-püjä is the most important celebration of the year, during which we honor our spiritual master on the day of his appearance in this world as the most proper recipient of our veneration. This is so because he is the one deserving of our deepest gratitude; he is the perfect bearer of the Absolute Truth, the true representative of Srila Vyäsadeva & Srila Prabhupada. It is he who, out of truly selfless love, takes the trouble and risk to deliver Vyäsa’s compelling message of surrender and service to the Supreme Lord in a form and language we can understand and imbibe. It is he who acts as the perfect example of how to live by that message.
At one of the instances, I got to know from one of my colleagues, which occurred few years back, one of our god-brothers had to call Guru-Maharaj from Radha-Gopinath Temple. So he asked the operator to connect him to Guru-Maharaja. After speaking to Guru-Maharaj as he was about to pay for that call and the operator asked about the reason for that. He told that before disconnecting the phone, Guru-Maharaj had instructed him to pay for the call as this is Srila Prabhupada's property.
Guru-Maharaj never forgets Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Prabhupada had said that he has spent gallons of blood to make devotees and in making temples of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu all around the world. From this example of Guru Maharaj I came to know that there is never an instance that he forgets Srila Prabhupada & his struggle to give us the opportunity to go back home, back to Godhead & not to take this valuable opportunity for granted.
Thank you, Guru Maharaj, for making this soul remember Srila Prabhupada and Sri Krishna. Thank you for inspiring and empowering me to chant the Lord’s holy names. Thank you for providing me with all that a living being requires to achieve the highest perfection of life in Krsna consciousness.
Only by your compassion I am able to be engaged in devotional service. Always keep me under the shade of your lotus feet.
May I remain exclusively in your service until I draw my last breath. May I become a useful instrument in your hands and thus make my life successful. May I finally surrender everything, not waiting until my death.
Your insignificant servant,
Rädhä Rasikräja Däsa
